Refresh Refinish Refine is a start-up business. My client came to me with a concept for her furniture refinishing business, turning forgotten pieces into stunning focal points for your home. The goal of the project was to develop the brand from scratch. I also worked on developing a website design for future publication once enough inventory is created.

Brand Logo
With this logo, I avoided the cliche logo ideas that may come to mind when thinking of furniture retouching such as paint brushes. I made the R (from the brand name) into a chair design and one of the chair legs symbolizes a brush stroke. This brought multiple aspects of the brand together in one logo. The simplicity and elegance of this logo capture the brand’s essence.
Brand Colour Palette
Refresh Refinish Refine has a modern and classic look while remaining organic. The colour palette reflects the use of natural woods and pops of colour that are used to put a modern finish on older pieces of furniture.
Brand Fonts
The typeface used for the Refresh Refinish Refine logo is ‘Source Serif 4 regular’. The font used for the website is ‘Kepler std.’ which is very similar to the ‘Source Serif 4’ font. The fonts are similar however, the ‘Source Serif 4’ font worked well as a logo font as opposed to a website font. I wouldn’t typically use two different fonts for a website and logo however, the ‘Kepler std.’ font suited the website well and matches the elegance and simplicity of the brand.
