Brand Design
The team behind Brilliant Minds Collaborative came to us with a clear mission: to create a brand that encourages students to engage in deeper, more thoughtful conversations. They wanted an identity that felt bright, playful, and youthful, while still resonating with their core audience of students in grades 3 to 8.
To bring their vision to life, we avoided overused symbols like brains and lightbulbs, and instead built the brand around a hand-drawn scribble from one of the founders, a visual metaphor for how busy, brilliant minds process connection and conversation in non-linear ways. We paired two contrasting fonts in the logo to strike a balance between fun and refinement, and selected a palette of bright, non-primary colours to give the brand energy without skewing too young.
Brilliant Minds Collaborative now has a visual identity that reflects the depth and creativity of their mission, one that speaks to both kids and educators, and lays a strong foundation as their business grows.
